Busch Gardens Williamsburg – 4/17/2022

Easter Sunday Busch Gardens Williamsburg quick visit.

Cookie Bunny

Taylor has never had pictures with an Easter Bunny. We were not able to find one last year and she was born a week before Easter of 2020 which was also towards the beginning of COVID and there were no Easter Bunnies available. When I heard Busch Gardens was going to have an Easter Cookie and Easter Elmo, I thought this was perfect since Taylor is obsessed with Sesame Street.

I got the kids back from their dad shortly before 6 and we went straight to Busch Gardens. I told them we were going to try to see Cookie Bunny or Elmo Bunny.

As soon as we got to Busch, we went straight to Sesame Street Forest of Fun. We got in line for the character meet and greet and it was Oscar. This is only the 2nd time we have seen Oscar and he is set up really cute.

Disappointing but oh well, we enjoyed seeing Oscar. As we were walking away, the employee told us that in 15 minutes, Cookie Bunny would be showing up. The kids rode a couple of rides until it was time to see Cookie Bunny!

COOKIE BUNNY!!!

She didn’t understand my instructions to stand closer

The kids went on the rest of the rides in Sesame Street Forest of Fun.

I took Taylor on the Lil’ Balloons and Little Gliders and the other kids went on the Battering Ram.

Lil’ Balloons

I only expected to go to Busch Gardens to see Cookie Bunny but the kids were having such a great time we stayed until the park closed.

We kids got in line for Finnegan’s Flyer and were about to get on and the ride shut down. This would have been Austin’s first time riding it. The ride closed because 2 people got stuck on it.

We left and went to Loch Ness Monster. I tried to get Austin to ride but he was scared and crying and the ride attendants told him to get off.

Once Ethan and Izzy got off, we went back to Finnegan’s Flyer to see if it was open and it was.

Austin reluctantly got back in line and Ethan got him to sit in the best seat on the ride in our opinion. (Orange side facing the line all the way to the left). Gives views of the pond and makes your stomach drop more.

We had about 10 minutes before the park closed and went back to Loch Ness to see if Austin would try this time. He did and just like Finnegan’s Flyer he said Loch Ness was EPIC!!!! I am glad he got over his fear of rides.

Fun surprise for an Easter Sunday!
